This combines theoretical teaching with an interactive practical programme demonstrating all aspects of using TADs (mini-screws) in your daily practice, from how to plan them into your treatments, consent, insertion sites, insertion methods, how to set them up specifically to allow correct biomechanics in your aligner treatment, to dealing with complications and their eventual removal.
The interactive TAD placement training includes the delegate following video tutorials on placement followed by submission of images and videos of placement with near live feedback.
Doctor Damon and Ramtin Taheri and Dr Marinopoulos have amassed their wealth of experience and years of working with TAD’s often in conjunction with Clear Aligner therapy and fixed orthodontic appliances into one succinct and complete 2 day Programme, after which our delegates will be ready to tackle the use of TADs in their daily practice from the next day.
This course combines theoretical teaching with extensive interactive placement training in order to cement the theoretical knowledge gained during the 2 days.
As more and more clinicians are treating patients with Clear aligner brands such as Invisalign, the need to provide excellent results becomes even more important. Clear aligners with the right education and the correct protocols can be used to treat most malocclusions, but often such protocols and treatments need to be supported by temporary anchorage devices or miniscrews.
This will allow you to treat a wider variety of cases, which will in turn take your orthodontic treatments to the next level.
The Complete TAD Programme was developed from 30 years of collective experience of working with TADs and organised into a 2 day, highly concentrated programme that will allow you to treat a wider variety of patients coming into your practice and to treat these to an excellent standard whilst maintaining your practice efficiency.
Dr Ilias Marinopoulos attended Gothenburg University in Sweden where he received his Speciality certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Masters with Distinction. Dr Marinopoulos has successfully treated thousands of cases, achieving and maintaining Diamond status for many years. He is currently the 1 Specialist provider of Invisalign® in Europe.
He spends his time working between different private practices in Wimpole Street and Harley Street. Dr Marinopoulos and Dr Ramtin Taheri share their expertise and teach nationally and internationally on treatments with clear aligners.
Dr Ramtin Taheri also attended Gothenburg University in Sweden where he received his Speciality certificate in Orthodontics. It was during this time that his interest peaked in Aligner therapy as he studied at one of the only universities in the world where Aligner therapy was part of the Post graduate degree.
Dr Taheri together with his brother Dr Damon Taheri, are Diamond providers of Invisalign® in their own practice, Dental On the Banks based in the Sandbanks area. Between them they have treated more than 1000 cases successfully and are two of the top Specialist Providers in Europe.
Dr Damon Taheri, like his brother Dr Ramtin Taheri, attended Gothenburg University in Sweden where he received his Speciality certificate in Orthodontics. Similar to his brother, It was during this time that his interest peaked in Aligner therapy as he studied at one of the only universities in the world where Aligner therapy was part of the Post graduate degree.
Nationally, Dr Taheri mentors many other Orthodontic Specialists on the use of clear aligner therapy in complex cases.
The Complete TADs Programme leaves delegates with an extensive and complete knowledge of TADs (Mini-screws), all in one succinct course, showing delegates never before taught techniques and tricks needed to this treatment modality. Delegates leave feeling confident, with the ability to treat more cases and to more superior results, time and time again.
The Complete TAD Programme will equip delegates with easy to follow rules and standardised systems so they know exactly when and how to use TADs in conjunction with their Clear aligner treatments or otherwise.
With the vast collection of cases demonstrated on this Programme, our delegates will be able to clearly identify the broad range of uses of TADs
1) When booking the programme, an option will be given of purchasing the Screwdriver/Shaft that the presenters currently use. If you already have a screwdriver for TAD placement, you will not need to purchase this separately.**
** Please note, a welcome package containing a typodont and 2 TADs will be sent to you with every registration. These might not be compatible with your existing screwdiver/shaft so please double check this to avoid issues on the day.
2) Welcome package of 2 TADs and Typodont will be posted prior to the programme date. Screwdriver and shaft will also be sent if purchased.
3) The programme will consist of pre-recorded presentations that will run over two consecutive days. This will include videos of insertion for different cases that you will need to follow from home using the screwdriver/shaft, TADs and typodont. You will be required to record each exercise, and then forward this to the presenters via email at info@aliners.co.uk. The presenters will review this in real time and provide feedback, prior to moving onto the next exercise.
4) After the programme you will be enrolled into our closed delegate facebook group which will continue to provide you with planning help and support whenever needed.
5) The programme will focus on the most commonly used TAD designs and will therefore not cover TADs with superstructures such as mesialsing appliances for example.
